Casa Amapola is a modern custom-designed 3-bedroom home situated on 1 Ha of land. Every room looks out onto the spectacular scenery.
Lush tropical rainforest surrounds the home, yet it has views across the coastal plain to the Caribbean Sea. The landscaped grounds host a multitude of flowering trees and shrubs, and the orchard has a variety of fruit trees. It sits at an elevation of 200m. Cooling ocean breezes make air conditioning unnecessary.
The owners built the house in 2013 to North American standards. There is hot water throughout. The kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances: gas stove with convection oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator with ice & water dispenser. The spacious master bathroom is a masterpiece with dual sinks, a rainfall shower, an oversize bathtub, private toilet, and a walk-in closet. The guest bedrooms are in a separate building. A covered breezeway connects it to the main house. Visitors have reported that the guest bathroom has the "best shower in all of Costa Rica".

Grand View Estates
Casa Amapola is located within Grand View Estates, the largest and best-equipped development on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. Owners will have use of all community facilities, including the pool and fitness center, the trail to GVE's private waterfall, and the horse stable and riding ring.
Grand View Estates has its own fresh water system and high-speed Internet. Satellite TV and cellular telephone service are available from multiple suppliers.

The nearby town of Siquirres has all the facilities required for daily living. Siquirres also has a brand new hospital. San Jose is just 2 hours away via car or express bus. The closest Caribbean beach is less than an hour away, while the resort towns of Cahuita and Puerto Viejo are an easy day-trip distant.

Biodiversity
The lowland tropical rainforest is one of the world's most biodiverse habitats. Sightings of parrots, toucans, macaws (in season), sloths and 2 species of monkey are everyday experiences. Most of these photos were taken right on our property.
